Hunting Fever

Last night Scott was looking through Sunday's ads for hunting supplies. He was shocked that it was the week of the duck opener and there were hardly any sales.

I had no comment on that one. Deer hunting I can see there being big sales/ads etc. Duck hunting, not so much.

Despite the disappointment he continues to count down the days, and has even taken up Matt's description for the time. Only 3 more sleeps!

I don't know which he is more excited for, the hunting, or riding in the new duck boat!

If only the guys would be so willing to watch the children (or child as the case may be) when it's shopping season . . . July and January are big clearance months . . . and we provide for our family by providing a basic necessity, just like they do.

Wouldn't it be nice to take a week away . . . or several weekends in a row for shopping season? I'm sure we wouldn't spend anymore on it than they do during hunting/fishing seasons . . . especially when you add up all the clothing, accessories, stirrup pants, decoys, sweet green boats with holes in them etc.
